The Squeeze Card™ program is intended to promote businesses, restaurants, product makers and merchants that are actively advancing environmental and social sustainability through their products and operational practices. All businesses must apply and be approved to participate in the Squeeze Card™ program.

Any business that is approved will have a profile on our business directory, which is viewable by the public. Over and above standard contact and location information, our business profiles enable merchants to share their commitment to sustainability, current approaches and future plans.

Participating merchants will also have the opportunity to list sustainability-related certifications and memberships. As such, businesses are encouraged to get involved with organizations like the Chicago Sustainable Business Alliance, the Green Exchange, Local First Chicago, the Green Chicago Restaurant Co-op and the Business Alliance for a Sustainable Evanston.

While businesses must meet basic A Fresh Squeeze criteria, our Squeeze Card™holders are the true judges. Your self-reported sustainability statements, combined with third party association memberships and certifications, will help shoppers determine whether or not to patronize your store.
